Gregg Enterprises

Greer Enterprises, Inc. has been operating in New Mexico and the greater Southwest in various capacities for over 100 years. Santa Fe has historically been the main focal point for many of Greer's real estate operations, most notably on San Francisco Street, where the first mercantile store in Santa Fe was erected by its patriarch, Nathan Salmon, in the latter part of the 19th Century. This endeavor spawned others, including hotels, shopping centers and motion picture theatres. The Lensic Performing Arts Center, the most opulent of those theatres, was renovated in 2001 to create a state of the art venue for wide ranging performances. It has once again brought community and vitality to downtown Santa Fe.

Lensic Block
The Lensic Block is centrally located in historic downtown Santa Fe. It is a vibrant mixed use property, which is anchored by the Lensic Performing Arts Center, a former vaudeville theatre built in 1930, which in the year 2001 was transformed into a state of the art performance venue, featuring diverse programming. Today it has resumed its place in the heart of Santa Feans. It has always been, and continues to be, one of the premier addresses for retail and office space due to its location near hotels, museums and courthouses.

Plaza Galeria
Due to its location right on the historic plaza, the Plaza Galeria has one of the highest traffic volumes of any location in downtown Santa Fe. The original structure of the Plaza Galeria was a military chapel constructed for the army of the Spanish Crown. A massive stone carving depicting several saints was created as an altar. After approximately 100 years, the chapel deteriorated and the altar was moved for a period of time to what is now the St. Francis Cathedral for safekeeping, until it was resurrected at the Cristo Rey Church which is where it is still majestically displayed today. The site then held a hotel and later a department store. Today it is a gallery of diverse merchants with goods from jewelry and art, to fashion and artifacts. Additionally, it has two eateries for shoppers to sample.
